i do not claim to be a ~~fashion expert~~
but i don't understand why people buy branded things that are ugly
nothing against branded stuff, have you seen dries van noten's printed everything

what i don't get is people buy branded things just because they are 'branded' (worse still if aesthetics are disregarded)
with the same amount of money for that unflattering thing with a design i cannot see the point of you can get so much more
maybe you need a new personal shopper/stylist
or a new reason for buying the clothes/bags you do
looking at a picture of a bunch of teens a year older than us
huddled in a row around a pool and some alcohol with the clothes and stuff all big brands
but those clothes wear them, seems to me the only personality being chanel-ed here is 'rich'

a tad disappointed when a local blogger i like is turning into a sort of brandwhore
spending a few hundred bux on T-SHIRTS with the brand print (which is ugly imo) on them is just.. excess
it's not like the shirts were made from super high quality fabric made from unicorn hair
it's just for the sake of saying, i m so luxurious even normally cheap things like t-shirts have to be of within a certain price range to be fit for ma body

what's more is that the term 'stealth-wealth' is actually a term I saw in the newspapers
like hmm, i'm rich but i wanna keep it low-profile but at the same time i want you to notice
it's as though you buy a bag that isn't an iconic Hermes Birkin or the like, but still branded,
and then wait for people who are in that exclusive underground wealthy society to notice and give you a knowing, approving nod

i think that sounds terribly contrived
buying brands just for the sake of it is contrived

the end

P.S to people who keep posting instagram photos of you and your branded anything or "ooh woke up/came back to (insert brand) from (insert anyone)", hello captain obvious, stop it it's not cool
